| 内容記述 | 目的:地域で生活する健康高齢者および要支援・要介護1の認定を受けている高齢者の足トラブルとフットケアニーズの実態を明らかにし,支援策を検討する際の基礎資料を得る.方法:関東地方の1カ所の老人福祉センターおよび2カ所の通所介護施設を利用する高齢者154名を対象に,自作の調査票を用いた足部の観察および面接調査を行った.結果:角質肥厚や巻き爪,胼胝など専門家によるケアが必要な足トラブルが2～4割の高齢者に認められた.足トラブルの深爪,肥厚爪,胼胝,鶏眼と『フットケア習慣』,【意識的なフットケア実践】,【フットケア指導への関心】に有意な関連が見られた.結論:セルフケアによる改善が期待できる足トラブルを持つ高齢者が多く,対象の問題に合わせ医療機関の受診も含めた具体的な指導を行う必要性が示唆された.また,足爪に問題を持つ高齢者は,フットケア指導への関心が高いため,正しい爪の切り方を含めた実用的なフットケア指導の必要性が示唆された. | |||||

| 内容記述 | Objectives : The purpose of this study was to survey the actual foot trouble and foot-care needs of elderly individuals living in the community who require care. Methods : Subjects were 154 elderly users of one senior's recreation center and one day service center. The researchers performed observations of foot condition and interviews using an original survey form. Results : Among the subjects, 20-40% had "hyperkeratosis", "ingrown toenail" and "callus" that required specialist care. There was significant relation between "cut a nail to the quick", "hyperkeratosis", "callus", "corn" and [foot-care customs], [intentional care practices], and [interest in guidance for foot care]. Conclusions : Elderly people have a lot of foot troubles that can be an improved through self management. Therefore, it is necessary for medical institutions to provide concrete guidance including consultations. Moreover, the elderly people who had trouble with toenails tended to have high care needs. Therefore, these findings suggest the need for the development of practical guidance for the correct method for using nail clippers. | |||||
