Methods : Learning outcomes related to students' understanding of residents were extracted from reports collected at the end of the practice from students who consented to participate (collection rate, 78.9%). Results : Learning outcomes were organized into the following categories : (a) the inconveniences of living in an area with limited transportation ; (b) the thoughts of residents who do not feel that their lifestyle is inconvenient ; (c) mutual assistance between neighbors to address daily inconveniences ; (d) the vitality of people living in regional communities ; (e) feelings and behavior that value regional culture ; and (f) the strength of links and exchange among residents.
