          <datacite:description xml:lang="ja" descriptionType="Other">UVC の殺菌灯としての効果は良く知られているが，UVB，UVA の細菌やウイルス，真菌等の増殖に対する抑制効果はあまり確認されていない．我々は大腸菌と黄色ブドウ球菌を用いて UVC，UVB，UVAの効果を比較した．大腸菌の結果からは，UVB でも UVC の 70％程度の効果があること，黄色ブドウ球菌の結果からは，UVB は UVC と遜色ない効果があること，菌のコロニー数減少率と距離2 の間に直線的負の相関があることが分かった．また，希釈した次亜塩素酸ナトリウムの一時的保存容器にも注目し，塩素濃度で示される次亜塩素酸ナトリウムの劣化を指標にして，紫外線カットフィルム，飲料水用 PET ボトル，ポリスチレン素材の遮蔽性と，三種類の紫外線の関係性について調べた．結果からは，紫外線カットフィルムが非常に効果的であり，次亜塩素酸ナトリウムの劣化には UVC と UVB は関係が無いが，UVA が非常に関与していることが分かった．</datacite:description>
          <datacite:description xml:lang="en" descriptionType="Other">The effect of Ultraviolet C (UVC) as a germicidal lamp is well known, but the inhibitory effects of UVB and UVA on the growth of bacteria, viruses, fungi, etc., have not been confirmed. We compared the effects of UVC, UVB, and UVA on Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. From the results of E. coli, UVB was about 70% as effective as UVC, and from the results of S. aureus, UVB was as effective as UVC. A certain linear negative relationship was also found between the rate of decrease in the number of bacterial colonies and the square of the distance. Furthermore, we investigated the shielding properties of the storage containers and the effects of three types of UV rays using the degradation of sodium hypochlorite as indicated by chlorine concentration. The results showed that the UV-cut film was very effective, and that UVC and UVB were weakly related to the deterioration of sodium hypochlorite. UVA had the greatest effect, followed by light sources of 450─500 nm.</datacite:description>
